CWE provides full architectural design services,
including electrical and mechanical systems. We can assist you
during your initial planning stages, or review the plans you've
already developed, before we begin work on the design. In the
schematic design phase, the options you selected during the
feasibility studies are developed further. Preliminary design
considerations for the building and site are then generated.
In the design development phase, drawings are prepared which show the site and floor plans, building elevations and cross-sections. The general layout for mechanical and electrical systems are created and an outline specification is prepared. Once this is completed, the design has been developed to the point where we're ready to prepare a detailed cost-estimate and compare it with the budget.
Construction/bidding documents include drawings and specifications for use during bidding and negotiation, as well as construction.
CWE keeps you informed throughout this process by regularly reviewing the design and budget status with you. We also assist with any required municipal or state reviews.
Prior to the beginning of construction, CWE will develop all required owner-contractor agreements. During construction, we serve as liaison between the owner and the contractor.
Also included in our services are regularly scheduled construction site visits, review and approval of shop drawings, payment requests, and management of any change-orders.
Our role as intermediary
assures that the project will be completed according to specifications and to
your satisfaction.
